The legend of the "Hobbies".
See, there was a time my hobby was meeting people, actively meeting people, with(for) all their peculiarities and complications.....well more of their complications.
This hobby has been a most productive one as it has given me a priceless, deep insight on different versions of "self".
-I've met selves that were justifiably all about their own individual "self".
-I've met selves that were all about "self" and all that is theirs with a sinless indifference to "you".
-I've also met selves that were selflessly about "self", "theirs", "you" and "yours".
All these aforementioned selves are so common and expected that they aren't so interesting again, but I discovered one remarkably-noteworthy type of "self".
-The one that is all about "self", "theirs", and "you" depending on some certain things you do for them, or some way you make them feel, or on their "plan" for you.
I call this distinguished, esteemed class of self:- The "investors" or "cultivators".
Investors, because they will close you up and sell you for parts if you stop or slightly derail from being "productive". Cultivators, because they will only water you, get fertilizers and manure for you so you could grow and present a good "harvest". In short, this is the group of "self" that take all matters in their own friendly hands.
This discovery of justifiably selfish, selfless and investing selves provided me with the ground works of a "not so new" theory. I call it the "THEORY OF PORTION" and it starts as we all know with the statement:-
"there are people that are simply your 'portion' and there are people that are inarguably not your 'portion' "...
The trick is knowing who is and who isn't and knowing them FAST.
The remainder of this theory is still in the works. So I'll end by giving this disclaimer :-
- All groups of "self" described above are classified without any sorta judgement. ...i mean sometimes we gotta be/do what we've gotta be/do.
By the way I've given up that hobby now. My new hobby is jogging away the "chubbiness"😊.
Damilola.
