VANITY CARD#2

Relationships seem to be the rave of the moment, so I thought this vanity card should play soft ball with it. I particularly am not in one now so I might not be the best adviser here,  but I'd give my opinion nevertheless,  I mean you already used your hard-bought mb to open this page.
So here goes, recently I have had this string of exaggerated  thoughts about the girl,  I call her "X" for now,  at least until her identity unveils or I hear that voice leading me to that sister and I use all my machiavellian traits to gently help her stay.
I've thought about X in two ways,  the first follows with the theory of letting life happen to you,  I imagine a hot yet unremarkable afternoon, holed up somewhere in the library trying to figure out how many textbooks I'd have to suffer through to get a "Professor  soladoye standard" knowledge of Animal experimentation. Moments between this search of grand futility,  X walks in,  gently taps me and asks why i got so many giant textbooks in front of me. I smile sheepishly,  knowing  from experience that smiling "sheepishly" is the first sign in this cascade. The normal conversation pattern ensues and eureka!  X is found.
My second thought is somewhat complicated. I'm assuming you have a basal knowledge of the theory of the individual world as a subset of the general socially perceived world. So I thought,  why not take the single best person in your world, hopefully (spontaneously or willingly)  fall in love with them, (pray and fast that they do so too with you) and then try and be the best person in their own world?  That way you are not getting ripped off, if she wants to, it's her gain, and your gain. if she doesn't want to, it's her loss and your gain.  I mean you're already the best person in the world of the best person in your own world, you most definitely wouldn't end up half bad.
I think relationships are as smooth as they are rocky and considering the fact that the world is so big and full of people,  it's logical that we have the privilege of calling at least one of them ours.
Okayy that said , as a result of responses and assaults I got from the first vanity card, Id like you to say this slowly after me: " i hereby pledge in all honesty that i will take dammys vanity cards less emotional and more intellectual".

VANITY CARD#1

Okayy... i decided a while ago to spill out write ups and I wanna call them-"vanity cards"... not because I sat in the corner of my cozy room in NH and strung a few nerve circuits in my mind to light the proverbial bulb and coin that name,  but because one of the writers I deeply respect from his works gives out "vanity cards". You might know him as Chuck lorre.  (pronounced "lorre" or "lor-re" depending on if you've met him or not.. and yeah on if  you are angel black or dammy white😊).
Writing  vanity Card #1,  all I could think of was my "great" school and soon to  be alma mater -bowen university,  and how religion is a giant centralist in my pursuit of an unwanted B.sc and a craved MBBS.
Now I imagine the founding fathers of this (my) university coming together and thinking; oh yeah let's gather our own mix of young adults and feed them with the seeds of eccentric religion,  let's barricade their exposure with biblical jurisdictions  hoping that after four short years they are modeled for life.
But no I don't believe this university models us for life,  if life is exactly like the  bowen campus, - couple curfew by 8, female skirt below the knee,  and male beard beneath the skin, then sure we are gold-ready for life.  But its obvious that isn't how life is... herego,  life here isn't a model,  neither does it model me for the true life beyond these barricades.
Now about the centralism of religion in bowen land, having been coerced into wearing this  cloak of religion for a whole semester solely for the personal aim of experimentation,  I can state the following facts.
-You get unprecedented fame from the whole "chapel business".  If you've got nothing else to offer our society  (bowen land) that's a pretty easy way to get famous.
-You get to meet people  that have been led to try and curb your chain of thought and limit your depth of thought to the easy and convenient answers of religion.
-You meet people who have left the distinction of an individual self for a general personality in which they all have superficial smiles and nicety because a particular doctrine dictates so.
-You meet people who hug you with an external cloak of acceptance but internally subjects you to a strong  condemnation by the highly judgemental jury hidden within them from the external world by the simple fact that tympanic membranes are not designed to beat to the background noise of mind thoughts,  or distant noise of spoken words that they verbalize in their room while you are in your hostel relishing the opportunity provided by an election into a coveted post.
-You meet non practical people,  people who forget reality and exalt feigned spirituality,  forgetting to contribute to their society, my society in ways beyond reading the bible and giving redundant lectures on chapters and verses read.
I am a 400l student in this "going to be great someday" university and I can count the intellectuals I've met by my hand fingers without running out of fingers to count,  but the ones who scream "I am spiritual and of chapel"... ohhh they are inexhaustible  in their numbers... and unfortunately, in my opinion, they are the ones that least belong in an academic environment, and please don't misunderstand me,  they do belong here, but I believe that, in an institution whose motto reads "excellence and godliness" (not "godliness and excellence ") intellectuals come first,  brilliant minds find home and creatively inclined individual should find refuge from the quick criticism offered by this sect.
In my opinion,  if Bowen is ever going to reach a world standard, these people have to take a step aside and allow individuals who embody the truth of the universality of a university education,  coupled with a non religious faith in a "school specified God" thrive. (I mean you can't go around screaming "Allah is great" here, or "i am a strong Buddhist",   or can you? ).
I love this school,  I love watching  it grow and most importantly I believe in its potential. We are bowen; I am bowen.

WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT DESK

Its with great pleasure and desire that you are welcomed into the new session, my desire and prayer is that it shall be a successful one.
- pray
It is vital, and it would help pave a way where there seems to be no way, dont wait till you need to pray, dont wait till you last option is to pray, pray so that you wont need to pray (if you understand), God is always listening and he loves you, dont abadon him, psalm 121 vs 1 says your help cometh from the lord, so why fear, it is settled, just look up to him
- Read hard
Read Read Read, thats your primary assignment, look for a method that works for you, look, write and talk, that's one method, dont relent, and dont wait for exams before you read, there is this joy you have when you in exam hall and you have stuff to write, read hard and daze your lectures, shock them
- play hard
When you have the time, please play hard, not small o, hard, so you wont have to go back to reading and feel like playing again, medical school doesnt mean you shouldnt play, once you have done the right thing at the right time, there would always be a time for play.

I really can go on and on, but like i said this is just yo welcome you back to a new session, and for the  clinicals what more am i to say, keep doing what you doing, its tough but God is strong. Its not easy but God that brought you this far would take you to the finish line.
